This notice explains the current technical handling of personal information on Payoff Atlas. It is a technical compliance baseline, not a guarantee of legal compliance.

The site operator must publish an accurate legal identity and working privacy contact before offering this site to people in the UK. No identity or email address has been invented for this notice.

Calculator data

Loan amounts, balances, interest rates, fees and repayment choices are processed in your browser to produce an estimate. Payoff Atlas does not provide user accounts and its application code does not send those calculator values to an application server or include them in analytics events.

The website's hosting and security providers necessarily receive ordinary request information, such as an IP address, requested page, date and time, browser information and error or security data. Before UK publication, the controller must identify those providers and confirm the applicable purpose, lawful basis, retention and international-transfer safeguards.

Cookie preference record

A strictly necessary record in browser local storage remembers analytics and advertising choices, the notice version, the time of the choice and its expiry. It remains on the device for up to 180 days unless it is replaced or cleared sooner. It is not sent to Payoff Atlas by the preference code. See the Cookie Policy for the fields and storage details.

Optional analytics

Google Analytics is not loaded unless you actively enable the Analytics category. If enabled, it may process online identifiers, device and browser information, approximate location derived from IP address, the canonical page URL without its query string or fragment, country model, page type, payment frequency and limited interaction events.

The allowed interaction events are calculator start or update, country-model or payment-frequency selection, use of a quick-extra button, opening the schedule, and links from an article to a calculator. Event parameters are restricted to short category labels. Loan balances, amounts, rates, terms, fees, lump sums and repayment results are excluded.

Analytics cookies are configured for 180 days without extending their expiry on each page load. Google signals and advertising-personalisation signals are disabled in the site code. Processing based on this category relies on your consent. Read Google's Privacy Policy and Google Analytics privacy information.

Advertising is disabled

Payoff Atlas does not currently load Google AdSense or other advertising scripts. The site's own preference panel is not a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) and does not create an IAB TCF consent string. Advertising must remain disabled unless the operator separately implements and verifies a Google-certified CMP and updates this notice.

Purposes, legal bases and recipients

Optional analytics: audience and feature measurement, based on consent; Google may receive the analytics data described above.
Essential hosting and security: delivery, reliability and protection of the site. The operator must confirm the provider details, retention and lawful basis before UK publication.
Preference storage: remembering the privacy choice requested by the user; it remains only in that browser under the current implementation.

Google and hosting providers may process information outside the UK. The controller must verify the relevant contracts, locations and UK international-transfer mechanism before launch; this policy does not claim safeguards that have not been confirmed.

Retention

Calculator inputs last only in the page while you use the calculator unless your browser itself restores the page. The local preference record expires after 180 days. Analytics cookies, when consented to, are configured for 180 days. Hosting and security-log retention remains a controller verification item and must be added here before UK publication.

Your choices and rights

You can reject optional technologies without losing calculator access. Use Cookie preferences in the footer at any time to change or withdraw consent. Withdrawal stops new analytics events, sends denied Consent Mode signals, disables analytics in the page and attempts to remove first-party Google Analytics cookies accessible to this site.

Depending on the circumstances and lawful basis, UK data-protection rights may include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. You may also withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that took place before withdrawal. Contact the controller using the address above once it has been published.

If you remain concerned, you can make a data-protection complaint to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Automated decisions and changes

The calculator produces an educational estimate but does not make a decision with legal or similarly significant effects about you. Material changes to optional purposes or providers require an updated policy version and a fresh choice.
